Sanity or Patience: choose one.

Do you ever have one of those moments where you think, "HA! I am sane!" Then you step in dog poo with your bare feet and remember it was your idea to get the puppy...?

Sugar and Spice, Tidbits

Why houses should never be built with only one bathroom:
My husband had "man's night" here last weekend. They were loud and obnoxious, and yes, they burnt the steaks and the baked potatoes didn't get finished until midnight. But they had a good time. Until one of them went to the bathroom (right outside my bedroom door). I kept hearing the toilet flushing... and flushing.. and flushing... and flushing. Over and over and over again.... until I realized it wasn't the toilet. Ewww.

Julia over at The Apron Goddesses wrote the most beautiful introduction to my blog the other day. It was really so sweet and she spent so much time on it. Thank you again, Julia.
Anyone who hasn't made it over there yet, check out her blog and enter to win an Ecostore $25 giveaway or an Apron Books giveaway. If you are a fellow apron-lover, follow her for updates on ALL her fabulous giveaways, because they happen often.

I have some BIG issues with "comment-pasters." I'll be devoting an entire post to blog courtesy (or something) soon, so anyone who has another issue or question, let me know and I'll include it in that post.

I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the last 3 months, as my 100th post is coming up and I don't know what to do in celebration. There are a few ladies who have been following me and commenting regularly - as in almost every post - since the beginning, and who are so incredibly smart and witty in their own blogs. I was going to list them here, but I think maybe I'll integrate them into my big 100th in a few days... Check back. There might be something in it for you.

Is there some kind of "Blog Etiquette Day"? Because I've been itching to address a couple of issues myself. The comment-pasters among them. You go ahead and write something brilliant and I'll totally back you up with a "yeah, me too!!!".

Oh, and because I forgot. The bathroom thing. Ugh. We have a rule in our house - we each clean the bathroom after our own families/friends have visited. But all that flushing... Yuck.

Yes! One-bathroom homes rock for that exact reason!
And, I have a blog-etiquette question for the post: Where do you respond to comments left on your blog??? Call me baffled but do you respond on yours or theirs or what? I really, really need to know this.

Ohhh, yeah. I'm actually one of those who wants/requires THREE bathrooms in the house. I need the master bath that no one touches. And I prefer that guests use a bathroom that is just a powder room and not the shower. Weird, I know. But I soooo don't envy you the man's night fallout!

And blog etiquette? I can't wait to see this one. I have allll sorts of pet peeves :) Luckily, I haven't had to deal with comment pasters. at least I don't think I have!

I told Fiance that when we build a house that I want my own bathroom, because I'm tired of my towels being covered in whiskers after he shaves. yuck.

I am not sure what comment pasters are. Monsoon looks so serious about his baking! He has the prettiest eyes! We have 4 bathrooms, a master, a half guest bath, a basement bath for the stinky boys and the kids bath. I hate cleaning 4! I think 2 is perfect. I think I will close down 2 of them!
I hate it when you write a post in your own opinion about something and someone has to get their digs in and argue that you are wrong. It is my opinion and my blog!! Ok, I am done.

I'd be saving up for that new bathroom. Or noise canceling headphones and a clothespin.

Oh.... ewwwww... that's just... really icky.

But seriously? Why would you build a house with one bathroom? I can't understand how people made that work back in the day when they had ever BIGGER families.

I would totally make my husband clean that bathroom! Yuck! I dread cleaning toilets that many people (besides my own messy kids) have used!

Fun blog!

Ohhhhh, nasty! I think earplugs are in order! And a hefty pillow to cover your head!

And I was soooo thinking about comment pasters in the last couple of days. A big turn-off. I think I would like to hear your take on it!

Nasty, nasty, nasty! I'm impressed you kept it together. If I would have made that realization, I probably would have gone the same way myself... :)
