Sanity or Patience: choose one.

Do you ever have one of those moments where you think, "HA! I am sane!" Then you step in dog poo with your bare feet and remember it was your idea to get the puppy...?

On Edge

Well folks, I'm a bit on edge lately, some things going down around here (my world, not my blog).

June 1st is a round-about date for word on something important to me, and while I'm not hopeful, I can't help but feel nervous about the possibility. So... if I haven't heard anything by the end of the week, prepare for some crap-slinging foul-moody blahs. (If I DO hear anything, you will be notified immediately. A celebration will follow... if only in my head).

I'm also planning to start a gluten-free diet for a few weeks, just to see what kind of difference it makes in the way I feel. I'm hoping it won't be painfully difficult, but we're big on whole wheat everything. If anyone has some pointers or what-not, please share. You can comment or e-mail me. Giving up some of the things I've gotten so accustomed to eating will be... well, kind of like breaking an addiction.

I'll also be job hunting. Blech. Thought I had something semi-lined up, but it seems to be falling through. If all else fails, I hear Walmart is booming. Please stab me with scissors now.

On a brighter note, the lovely Michelle "Lady Bug" from Welcome To My World has bestowed One Lovely Blog Award upon my crabby self. Any of you wishing to have your spirits lifted after this dismal attempt at a post, definitely check out Michelle's Daily Quotes. This quote most particularly seems to fit the bill for me today. Thanks Michelle!

**Since I have been honored with this award and passed it along before, and I think anyone who comes here and listens to (okay, reads) my complaints is worthy and lovely, I hereby pass it on to YOU.**

Well I can only hope that we're hearing good news from you very shortly. I think we can all use a little good news right about now!

And the GF diet? Don't eat anything processed. It sneaks in all over the place where you'd never suspect it. Go visit a natural foods store and get some help from them. And then spend some time on a GF website. And you may want to look at CFGF if you're doing it as a trial. I've heard that lots of people do better CFGF than GF alone.

Good luck!

Now I'm curious about June 1st!

GF diet...way more than I have will power for!

Good luck on the job hunt. What type of work are you looking for? Just curious.

Hope you have a great week this week!

Have you been diagnosed as gluten intolerant? My stomach has a lot of issues. I tried cutting out gluten, dairy, meat.... Nothing helped. I finally started taking a good probiotic and it made all the difference in the world for me.

Hope your news turns out the way you need it to!

It so stinks to have so many things going on that you feel very overwhelmed and crabby. I'm sorry to hear that.
I'll be praying for your week and your news.

Crossing my fingers for good news, and good luck with the job hunt!
Gluten-intolerance & allergies are super common in Sweden, so I was really used to seeing gluten-free everything before I moved here. Was kind of surprised in the lack of gluten-free stuff here (comparably), and I imagine that it is a much harder diet to follow in the US, compared to Scandinavia.
Good luck. I'm sure you can do it, and I hope you have the results you are looking for.

Big hugs!

I know how it feels to sit around and wait to hear something important. We are in the same boat right now. Hope you hear soon.

Whatever it is you are waiting to hear about I am hoping you have good news soon.

I am no help on gluten free. :( but I might be able to help out with that job thing.

Give me a shout!

What is going on in your little world? Gluten-free and working...these sound like a lot of changes to be taking on all at once. Maybe we should keep the pasta and just focus on work. :)

Seriously, though, I hope everything works out for the best, my friend.

I hope all goes the way you want it to go. Please let us know so that we can either share in your joy or sling some crap with you (or at least try to cheer you up!).

I don't know if you follow Mama Kat, but I hear she has a child that needs gluten free foods. I just went to look her up for you, and it turns out she has a whole separate blog about the ordeal...http://allergiesshmallergies.blogspot.com/

Gluten free...tough stuff to give up...makes all things 'breadish' taste wonderful!!! But, it can make a difference to cut it out...

And although Wal-Mart is booming...I agree with the analogy to "stab me with some scissors"..
(besides, I've applied several times and they just don't want me!! LOLOLOL)

((((Cackling hysterically at wal-mart))))

Really, I'm fine! Have a good week!!!
