Sanity or Patience: choose one.

Do you ever have one of those moments where you think, "HA! I am sane!" Then you step in dog poo with your bare feet and remember it was your idea to get the puppy...?

Not Me Monday: Not Sprinkles

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I certainly did NOT walk Sprinkles out to the back yard yesterday and watch her play with (read: try to eat) a leaf for ten minutes before noticing how odd the stem looked and thinking 'hey, that dry, brown leaf is pretty tough for a dry, brown leaf.' I did NOT then make her drop it, only to find that it was actually a baby mole. No, I absolutely did NOT dry heave at the sight of a flattened, recently deceased beast whose guts had been completely sucked dry by said puppy, who does NOT lick Monsoon's face. NOT ever. I'm NOT getting ill at the thought of it right now, either.

I also did NOT opt to wipe her down with a dryer sheet instead of giving her a bath, so she surely does NOT smell like that grandma at Target who gave me a headache with a single whiff. Of course I'm NOT thinking maybe that would work for Monsoon, too...

Ewww.... Moo love to lick people in the face too, and it always grosses me out, even without dead-animal breath. He just smells like death period.

I don't even know if I have words for this. Maybe this is why I have a cat...who only eats the occasional housefly.

Ewwwwww! I think I'm gonna have an OCD attack after reading that!

Awwww, nasty! And I'm DYING laughing about the dryer sheet musings. I promise not to call social services on you if you give Monsoon a "bath" with them!

Eewwwwww! Gross, dead mole. Can I borrow Sprinkles for about a week? We have all kinds of little creatures for her to eat, I mean play with. :)

Ohhhh ... dryer sheets. Hmmm ... :)

My dog did that with a bird. I wanted to heave for a week straight. I feel your nausea.

Oh, aren't dogs just so much fun. I love the dryer sheet bath too! I'm going to remember that one. My dogs once found a possum. I thought it was dead. It wasn't. But I'll tell you what, that old "playing possum" adage is spot on.

And I am NOT laughing my head off at your ummm situation. I'm so sorry. This doesn't sound like a good day. Unless you weren't there and just hear about it now ;)

Who knew that those dryer sheets could be so effective? I love it. Might just save me the hassle of having to bathe my kids from time to time.

Thanks!
