Here are some answers (and thoughts) I've given to the many "why" and "but-what-if" questions I've heard lately from Monsoon. It's an effort to not just say 'I don't know.'
"Those are your testicles," followed by, "No, jellyfish have tentacles." Sorry I spewed snot on you. If you don't like it, stop making me laugh.
"Underwear are for you bottom. If you put them around your neck, they will likely get stuck. Again." Again!?
"No, my utters do not have super powers." You don't need to know about their super powers just yet.
"If everyone had a penis, there would be no girls." Stop asking what I have.
"Clifford is pretend. Sprinkles will never talk." What do you mean you don't want her, then?
"Well then the car would smell really bad, wouldn't it?" Are all kids this obsessed with poop?

Funny. Have a great Labor Day///
Ahhh, gotta love what the kids make you do, no? Some of those sound a little familiar though, I hate to admit. And YES they're all that obsessed by poop.
And toots and burps in my household at the moment. Every one is announced and congratulated. *sigh*
Yes, all kids are obsessed with poop. My 14 year old boy still finds it hilarious to say European.
Uhhhh? You win. Those are off the charts! Congratulations. :)
Come on, now! I'm 32, and I'M still obsessed with poop. :)
But I'm still holding out for a verbal Sprinkles!
Too funny!
Holly
oh yea... random stuff like that is pretty funny from little ones
Of course Sprinkles can talk! You just weren't listening. :p
It is a fact of life, and a rather 'eww' one at that!
Happy SITS day. Congratulations!

LOVE it!
So glad SITS featured you. I'think I will doing laundry more now that I found you. You know why? 'cause I just peed my pants laughing so hard.
*Not really* But it could happened with you around...:))
Holy crap! Ok, stop, STOP! It's waaaaaaayy to early for me to have a stomachache from laughing so hard! I think you should let Monsoon do some guest posts. I know I for one am interested in what he has to say!
Nope, never heard any of those questions before but yes, I think kids are obsessed with poop. Bet they would like my zoo post about it: http://zemeks.blogspot.com/2009/11/things-we-learned-at-cleveland-zoo.html
Hilarious! As much as I'm enjoying my 20 month old beginning to talk in sentences, these are sentences I'm so not looking forward to!!!!
"Are all kids this obsessed with poop?"
Yes. Freud calls this the anal retentive stage.
His obsession with "what you have" is the Oedipal stage. I assume your son is 4 or 5? Somewhere close? Maybe 3. But definitely under 5.
Hmmm sounds much like conversations with my now 9 year old.. he is horrible with teh constant wyy and what if's I finally toldhim one day "what if your mouth was made of Velcro then what??
His response , " then I would make that weird velcro opening sound when I asked you questions" yeah I can't win you can sit over here with me in the corner and i will share my fruit scented markers with you... just don't eat the grape I don't care how real it smells..
Hahaha... oh wow. I hope you make a note to remind him about all these questions in a few years. ;-)
Gotta' love that curious little mind! lol
Happy SITS day!
LOL @ your Utters powers! It took me a second...but LMAO!
I love the questions kids ask. It can be so cute. my daughter has not reached that age yet, but I know I need to practice because it's coming soon.
The only question I had to answer was what's that when daddy stepped out of the shower and she happen to open the door at the same time.
We said "That's what daddy goes potty with" and that was the end of it for now.
Too funny!! I have 3 boys, 2 of which can talk. I have many of those arkward questions/statements that Im not sure how to answer. How about this one: As I am getting out of the shower, my son says mommy you have a small penis. Well if you dont have a penis then what do you have? How the heck do you answer to that. :)
You are so smart to chronicle these questions. One says so many sentences with children that would be unimaginable with adults!
SUCH a boy. I cant wait to explain about testicles.
As it is my 3 year old thinks it's really funny for her to tell us that her brother has a vagina.
This is funny! Little kids can sure make me laugh.
Hilarious! It's wonderful that your writing down these gems! Congratulations on your SITS day!
It is amazing the things that moms say :-)
Too funny. Ilove your wit. Funny people are a rare find. I'm a follower! Keri

Utters???? that's hilarious!
Yes, all kids are obsessed with poop. I have been told it last quite a while, too!
Happy SITS Day and Happy Friday the 13th!
Just wait. Teenage boys say some eye-popping stuff too!
Yes for my 4 yr old son, the craziest thing I've said is "No, you can not drive a car up and down your penis."
well...my kid's a girl, nearly 7, and still obsessed with poop...and farts. And boobs. LOL
This is an adorable post! I love the way kids think!
Yes all kids are obsessed with poop, and sadly with boys it only gets worse as they get older.
Happy SITS day!
Love to know that I'm not the only one sitting in the weird corner most of the time. I'm really going to have to post about my boy and some of his doings sometime. Thanks for the inspiration!
Ha ha! I can't wait to see what adventures await me once my MiniDork starts talking.
Too funny! Have a great weekend! :)
Hehe, haven't been getting many questions from my two year old but we still have many interesting conversations.
Ha! Love the awkward questions, my daughter has a slew of them too! Happy SITS Day!
Kids. Are. So. FUNNY!! And what is [almost] funnier the the crazy things you do/say/think when you are around kids! I am doing things I would have bet my life Id never do around my nephew. I look and sound ridiculous! Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, I've got four boys so I can totally relate here. ha ha
Happy SITS day! Oooh been there done that with doo-doo questions, and oddly enough, my girls are more obsessed with poop than our son was! EEW!
a-ha-ha-ha!!! too funny! :)
Ha, my 3 year old insists everyday that he doesn't have to wash his hands after going potty because his penis does all the work...thank goodness for little kids!
LOL! My utters have super powers. They play dead on my belly. It's a prettu awesome trick....
Don't you just love the things kids say?
Don't you just love the things kids say?
Yes all children are obsessed with poop. THEN you get old and YOU get obsessed with poop. It's never ending - poop!
Kids really do ask the strangest questions. And yes, I think all little kids (and some big ones) are obsessed with poop.
Thank you for giving me a good laugh today. I remember when my younger sister would say silly things. Congrats on being featured on SITS. I hope you have a fabulous weekend.
My nephew thinks underwear are for his head. And so does his younger sister. Thing is she's only one so it is his underwear on her head. Kids that age are funny and embarrassing all at the same time.
Lol, I was totally an underwear-on-the-head kid! Thankfully none of my kids are... yet...
Happy SITS FB day!
LOL So hilarious!! I love to hear the things that kids {and moms ;0) }come up with!!
Ha ha! Thanks for the good laugh. Kids seriously are hilarious. Thanks for sharing. Hope you've enjoyed your day as FB @ SITS.
Congrats on being Saucy today. You are one funny lady. Thanks for the laughs!
Love them!
Isabella associates bathrooms with poop. Washing your hands? You gotta be going poopy! Brushing your teeth? Just a cover up for poop :)
I love kids. Seriously, they are the funniest little people ever.
Funny!!! Hvae a great weekend!
HA!
You want the poop!?
You can't handle the poop!
Lookee here, sister-
