Sanity or Patience: choose one.

Do you ever have one of those moments where you think, "HA! I am sane!" Then you step in dog poo with your bare feet and remember it was your idea to get the puppy...?

Who's afraid of the Big Bad....

....Piggy?

Monsoon was feeling cruddy yesterday after school, complaining of a headache and chills. By the time we got home, he had a slight fever and told me he needed a nap. A nap?! That's when I knew he was sick.

While he was napping, I sat down to check e-mails. My grandma (Nano) had sent an e-mail asking about Monsoon, so of course I, without thinking, e-mailed back about him sleeping and not feeling well. It took less than 5 minutes for a reply....

"Keep a close watch on *Monsoon* cause of this new flu going around, H1N1(swine) I heard in New York where a 15 month old died this morning, and 11 schools are closed there, and a Principal age 55 died this wk, you run a high fever with it, I'm sure you & your Mom know all the symptoms, Ky has 11 confirmed case's, where we go to church Day Care had one Swine case & the day care center was close for a wk, and we didn't have church couple service's. trust He gets to feeling better soon, I will sat a Pray for *Monsoon* right now. love, Nano."

Nano, I love you (and I'm not just saying that because I know you'll be reading this). I appreciate your prayers. I'll be e-mailing you in a few hours to assure you it's a simple ear infection (after we see Dr. Taco).

For those of you who have read my profile description and are asking, "Is this the one?" Yes, this is the grandmother I'm turning into. HFW seems to be having an equally traumatizing sensible issue with her equally hysterical sensible grandmother, so at least I know I'm not alone. Anyone else out there combating the crazy-worrisome-downer gene?

HOLY HECK, my gramma sends "end of the world" emails by the bucketfull! It's overwhelming. I swear, if I don't get out of bed tomorrow, it's because "SHE TOLD ME SO" and I got H1N1, the apocolypse has started, and I'm sure everyone's dying of some pandemic. Not to mention, I'm sure even my COMPUTER would have a virus!

that's funny!

Hehe, oh yes. This post resonates deep within my soul.
There have got to be others out there who have inherited the gene ... right?
Hope Monsoon feels better soon, and I hope it's not the swine flu.

Wow, telling you all the worst-case scenarios. Eek!

I hope he's feeling better asap!

Oh don't you love your family. I hope he feels better soon.

I hope Monsoon feels better soon, and I'm sure you'll feel better as well after you guys have seen the DR.

I'm definitely combatting it, but unfortunately my grandmother has already passed on. (I'm sure you do, but) Hug her, love her, and keep her close while you can.

My daughter got sick with the flu about a month ago and was out of school for a week..she came down with it the weekend before...
Well, anyway...everyone was on their toes asking, it's not swine flu is it? No, it wasn't..
The doctor took tests and assured me it wasn't. Even the secretary at her HS tried asking me if it was without seeming to be rude or scared..lol

People can be too worrisome at times....

Oh, and I have a story about my niece concerning the swine flu..I'll have to write a post on that one and the girl is 17!!!

So, now don't you think your mom and aunt turned out pretty good, despite it all? ha ha ha

I actually take after my grandma who under reacted to everything to such an extent that most of the time she did not believe the news was true and thought it was all a scam to make us paranoid. Yeah, that's the gene I have.

First, I'm glad it's only an ear infection. Scond....My Mom is a worrier like that. It ry hard not to be. It freaks me out

I am about as paranoid and hypochondriac as you can get. So crying to me is useless...

But you can go take a peek at TAG. Hint hint. It just might make you feel a wee bit better. :)

Congratulations on your win at TAG! Hope Monsoon feels better soon!

That is SO my mom!! Sometimes I tell her things after the fact to avoid emails or phone calls like that! LOL!

Now I know where to go with my hypochondriasis...because my mother is clearly not indulging me on that front!

I tend to be sorta end of the world myself... having parents and grandparents who feed it is not a good thing!!

It sick that I watch this but I love this stuff. On Discovery channel it said the area in the brain where we "worry" is well developed in females compared to the males brain.
You have no choice BUT to worry like crazy bat fools cause we are females! Just accept!
