Sanity or Patience: choose one.

Do you ever have one of those moments where you think, "HA! I am sane!" Then you step in dog poo with your bare feet and remember it was your idea to get the puppy...?

Really? At a Garage Sale?

I haven't been "garage saling" in so long, I had forgotten how much fun it can be, especially with my sister. We had a wonderful morning hanging out, found many like-new child-entertainment-contraptions (a.k.a. toys) for cheap, and even came up with our very own list of "When is it ever okay?" inspired by the one and only DiPaola Momma of Chicken Nuggets of Wisdom and THIS particular post, which is humorous in a mind-boggling/cackle-and-snort kind of way.

When is it ever okay to display these items for sale in your garage? (and yes, we saw ALL of these things):
  1. Underwear. No, not in the package.
  2. A butcher knife. I might be concerned about children... and psychos.
  3. Mouse traps. Rusty ones, at that, and a whole big box full of them.
  4. Mostly-cloth baby-teether, used. So obviously used.
  5. Deodorant. Trial size, not sealed.

It's not a long list, and I'm not sure if I'm more relieved or disappointed about that, but I'm looking forward to the next afternoon with my sistah.

What's the weirdest thing you've ever seen at a garage sale?

I've never been to a garage sale, and clearly I need to, if for not other reason that to laugh a bit...

I'm glad you had a great day with your sister. I wish my sister lived closer so we could hang out as well! I'm totally envious!

Training bras, lots of them. Don't want to wear used undergarments. And a hamster. These 2 are the funniest.

I can not tell you how many bras I've sold in garage sales. Gross, I know, but hey, I wasn't the one buying them and I needed that quarter.

I'm glad you had a good time! My mother has a great love of garage sales and bargains. Only I often end up receiving her "finds" as gifts.

Over the years, I have received an electric mixer with only one blender, imitation rusted Ginzu knives (marked FREE!), and... Well, maybe I just need to write my own post!

Yard Sales are my absolute favorite thing to do in the summer..you never know what you'll find and there's always the possibility of finding that one thing you've looked your entire life for and didn't know you wanted it until you saw it....
I've seen so many strange things, it'd be hard to pick just one..but one thing that always creeps me out is when someone is ridding their house of a collection and 9 times out of 10 its clowns!! thousands upon thousands of hideous clowns!!!

I have to get to some garage sales for material here!!! There's a lot I would not put out at a gargage sale but I guess one persons rat pellet is another's treasure! Or vice versa.

Wowwww... that's pretty special. VERY used swimwear is another perennial favorite of mine. OH! And a ziploc bag of used nasty clothespins. I need to go hang out at a garage sale soon. It's been awhile.
